What a great time was had by all at Foxton Beach for our end of year trip. Many thanks to the Life Guards for their great Water Safety programme and keeping us safe when we swam. Thanks also to all the parents that came along to help :)

Solar Eclipse

Yesterday we had a look at the Solar Eclipse that took place in our sky. We were lucky to have the use of a welders helmet that blocked out the brightness and allowed us to see the Eclipse.

Tai was very excited this morning to share with the class about having his photo in the Manawatu Standard. His Dad was back from time over in Afghanistan and Tai was there to meet him with his Mum and brother Shayde at the airport.

ASB - Get wise!

Today we had a Representative from ASB bank come and talk to us about money.
We learnt about the different amounts of money  10c, 20c,50c, $1, $2, $5, $20, $50 and $100! What an eftpos card was and to think about what a 'want' is verses a 'need'  when it comes to our spending.

Room 2 having been using the Internet to relive our moments of glory at the London Olympics.

Today Tokomaru School got a visit from the Manawatu Turbos. The children from Room 2 asked all the hard questions.

The guys were all to happy to answer all our questions and sign some authogrpahs.
